ProStores Ecommerce Templates

If you are wanting to learn more about how our templates work, or are a do-it-yourself kind of person who just wants to dig a little deeper, this tutorial section should help answer some of your questions.

Your ProStores Template Package

When you purchase a template through RTBWizards.com, our shopping cart system will direct you to a page with your download .zip file. You will also receive an email that also gives you the download location.

Please note that the download file is only active for a short time, so please download the file as soon as possible.
If you do not receive this notice, please check your anti-spam settings and check your “junk mail” folder.
If your email requires a verification process, please approve our email address prior to your order. Sometimes it takes us a while to process the verification and this can result in a delay in your receiving the information you need.

NOTE: If you need us to install your new templates files for you, please contact us for details. We will need your ProStores information and can usually get your files uploaded within one business day.

Your Zipped Template Files:

We recommend you create a new folder on your desktop.
Save your new template download file to this new folder.
Open the desktop folder and right-click on the zipped file.
From the menu, select WinZip – Extract to Here.
When the files are extracted, you will see the following:
- An images.zip file (contains all of the store images plus our external CSS file)
- A templates folder (containing all of the coded pages for your store)
- An “instructions” page
- Our End User License Agreement
- A logo-blank.jpg image file (so you can add your own site name)
- If applicable to your template, there will be a layered header image file in .psd format.

Replacing the “Sample” Image

You have a number of choices for the main image replacement:

You can use your own image
You can use an image provided by your suppliers
You can go to a number of stock photo vendors to get another image for your store.
If you do not have an image editing software program, we will handle the image replacement for you at no cost within 14 days of your purchase. You have several options, so please contact us for more details.

Your Business Name on the Store Logo File

We can add your business name to the "blank" logo image at no charge within 14 days of your purchase.
Send us an email with exactly what you want written on the store logo. Unless you send us a specific font, we will use the font shown.
You will receive the new file from us via email within five business days (usually sooner).
Save this file into your desktop folder. If prompted, allow the new file to overwrite the existing one.

ProStores V10 updates and versions

With the new Version 10 release in August 2010, there were changes to the Home Page, Product List, and Product Details pages. These were changed from using template files (.tpl) to use the new Page Builder feature.

With the May/June 2011 release, the template files were reinstated and you now have the choice of using the Page Builder or using template files if included in your template package.
